I hope you have brought some common sense, for here it is in short supply! Failing that, please leave your sanity at this point... you can collect it on the way out.

Boring Facts.
I could have put, "I was born... I still live." However, general opinion seems to be that I need more. So here goes:
I was born in 1962, obviously a good year from my point of view. Spent a reasonably pleasant childhood in Strathearn's bucolic idyll. Educated (well, they tried) at Morrison's Academy for Girls 1967-1979. Met Malcolm here, eventually to become the husband. Left school and went to Perth College and Napier College, Edinburgh, taking Secretarial Studies courses. Thence followed a list of strange jobs for which I am very grateful, they helped make me the nutcase I am today. I was PA to a Bishop, Archaeological Survey researcher, Scottish Regional Secretary to the World Wildlife Fund, GP's receptionist/typist and a DTP Operator in Perth College's Marketing and Open Learning Departments from the late 80s to early 90s. This was my introduction to Apple Macs... still love 'em.
Finally married Malcolm in 1990, began a personal breeding program in 1993 culminating in the birth of John, followed by Shanna in 1997.
Madderty Primary School lured me back to work part-time in 2000 as a Support for Learning Assistant caring for special needs children and I have been doing part-time or supply work in schools ever since... mostly because it fits in with the kids' school hours and holidays. Personally, I'd rather stay home and do stuff in the house and garden, but needs must when the devil drives!
Things That Make Me Go Hmmm!
I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I'm a pretty bizarre individual. I never know where my handbag is, I'm not wild about shopping for clothes and get cross if I have to buy shoes more than once every 5 years. I take an interest in many things... well, just about anything that catches the attention of the rabbit working the controls. I work on my Mac doing a bit of genealogical research and some DTP jobs for various local committees. I enjoy walking in the countryside, photography, art, history, reading, movies, a bit of armchair science, natural history, and being lazy (maybe the latter should have been in first place). We also show, and occasionally breed, Birman cats. Oh, and we have several other small pets about the place; snakes, mice and a rabbit.
However, one of my favourite pastimes is communicating with friends via iChat AV (you'll find me under the AIM username of wendyg62). I'm sure I am very annoying in there sometimes... but I'm always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needs it! Feel free to drop in and say 'Hi!'
